"Screen on the Green" was a rear-projection screen set up at the Atlantis Resort. Families gathered on the lawn to watch Cartoon Network series under the gorgeous Nassau sky. Because this was a large, ground installation there were specific concerns that needed to be addressed prior to driving extra-long stakes to hold the inflatable. Watch for details.

Working on the Paramount Studios lot in L.A. was quite a thrill, but also brought up a few particulars we'd never experienced before. Reusing some inflatables for this project made it go more smoothly. However, being oh-so careful not to damage any set pieces or props made finding anchor points and power sources a bit of a scavenger hunt. In the end, we pulled it off and have a great set of tips to share for your next install.
While trade shows are known for attracting gobs of traffic, there are techniques for increasing visitors to your specific booth. One way is an inflatable tie-in. Cartoon Network took advantage of this strategy by placing one inflatable on the roof of a pizza restaurant (kid-magnet!) and a second in their Comic-Con booth for quick visual recognition. See how it was done.
Quick Thinking Saves the Day When The Case New-Holland Installation Hits a Snag
Event marketers have a lot to think about. With so many moving parts to juggle, you occasionally have to drop back and punt. Our experiences while onsite at CNH Nashville inspired a 4-point checklist designed to help ensure your inflatable installations go smoothly. Watch and learn.
Zombies are notoriously uncooperative creatures, but when you take your time and give them a little breathing room, they might just behave for you. This was the case for the Zombie Pub Crawl 2014. It was textbook perfect with each phase of the process taking shape as we unpacked and inflated this 60-foot-tall undead beast, his guts and a new addition: Kraken tentacles. To say Phil stirred up some buzz is the understatement of the year!
When Cartoon Network took over Atlantis in the Bahamas, Landmark Creations was called in to set up a 24', LED screen inside Finn's inflatable head. This never-before-done feat was exciting, but not without some issues. Delayed package delivery, quirky international phone service & lack of contact information for all six (yes six!) companies involved meant a lot of waiting. The final result, however, was simply amazing! Watch and learn.
One of the most harrowing installs we’ve had: MIT’s video barge was to float on the Charles River for five days. With unusually windy weather, we had to de-inflate and re-inflate the balloon to prevent damage. Thanks to some quick thinking and fast action, the end result was simply one of the coolest things we’ve seen.
One of our largest installations: Phil the Zombie stood 50' tall and required a bit of special handling due to wind. To get some pre-event buzz for the Zombie Pub Crawl, event coordinators inflated Phil prior to the festival date as a test run. They saw firsthand how important it is to account for wind and weather when using inflatables. Prior planning and a little sneak preview lead to enormous success.
Ever tried to install a piece of inflatable art in an alleyway underneath a bridge? We did! Working with the Pace Gallery and David Byrne, we crafted a compressed-looking, 50-foot globe for the exhibit. This type of installation required some preventative measures that would keep the inflatable and the historic landmark it was installed under intact.
Cabela's 3-Part Outdoor Install Requires Special Planning
What do a turkey, a bass and a deer have in common? They are all wildlife inflatables used by Cabela’s alongside a major freeway during their grand opening. With some careful planning, this major undertaking went off without a hitch and brought gobs of attention to the outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear.
