Giant, Inflatable Wildlife Replicas Reveal How Nature Impacts Science

Carnegie Science Center's Inflatable ElephantGiant, Inflatable Wildlife Replicas Introduce Biometrics to Kids

Did you know elephant trunks inspired the creation of certain manufacturing robots because of their range of motion? Or that wind turbines are becoming more efficient at harnessing air, thanks to the bumpy shape of humpback whales?

You're not the only one who's amazed. School children across the country are finding out these incredible facts and more, thanks to a 45-minute theatric assembly put on by a Carnegie Science Center educator.

Demonstrations, audience participation, videos and - of course - giant, inflatable wildlife replicas come together to create an experience that's entertaining, fascinating and educational at the same time.

The goal? To introduce kids to the unique connection between nature and science.

With the help of an eight-foot-tall inflatable elephant named Zuri and a 16-foot-tall inflatable humpback whale named Gracie, "Wild by Design: An Innovation from A to Zoo" enlightens kids about the wonders of this world and how they can inspire new innovations in biometrics and other fields.

Carnegie Science Center chose Landmark Creations due to our ability to produce scientific realism and props that could withstand travel from school to school on a daily basis. After a couple of sneak peeks, the folks at Carnegie are certain they'll get an abundance of photo ops and press coverage in the near future.

What Others Say About Landmark Creations

"The inflatables have been a great success at shows, seminars and especially at pet shops where they help us to coordinate Iams Co. weekends that allow us to promote and increase sales of our products."

-The IAMS Company

“This has created tremendous buzz around town and we have received a great deal of compliments on the Big Tire. Exposure is my goal, and the inflatable does that better than anyone, including me, can do at these events. The Big Tire never takes a break, gets tired or has to take a call. It just keeps shining bright and the kids love it.”

- Ed Chaney, Ed Chaney Tire Center Inc.

"Landmark Creations has been our go-to supplier for 15 years. Tom and his team are people we count on to make our products look good."

- J. Doyle, Scenery First

"Just wanted to say how much we LOVE our inflatables.  We tested them in our lobby where they were, of course, an instant hit for school group photos. Our leadership was quite pleased with the durability and the realism."

- Mike Hennessy, Carnegie Science Center

"We usually have to keep the arch up for at least 30 minutes after our races since so many people want to get their photos taken with it!"

- Art Boulet, Muddy Monk

"Our tunnel was also a great addition to our pre-game tradition: the Wildcat walk. Our city shuts down three blocks of downtown, and we have hundreds of fans lining the streets with a police escort, while we walk to the stadium."

- Sam Baker, Head Football Coach at Waconia High School
